Consumer Ratings and Reviews for Catching Fire (The Second Book of the Hunger Games)
Rating:5 Out of 5
Review: These books are H.O.T
OMG.....I just read The Hunger Games and Catching Fire and could not put either of them down.,,,I was wondering how Suzanne Collins was going to equal the first book, but she did and I loved every moment of both these books.....I can't wait to get stuck into The Mockingjay...I read a lot of books and tell people about them, but very few have me RAVING and INSISTING to my friends that they read them. This series certainly has me raving over them....I HIGHLY recommend this series to anyone.....And I can't wait to see them turn this into a movie....Move over Edward/Bella and Jacob, and make way for Peeta/Katniss and Gale.......

Review: Very intriguing!
This series has been so captivating. I loved the plot. Though I am somewhat frustrated with the relationship of Katniss and her men.

Review: More suspense, same great pace
Readers of The Hunger Games will NOT be disappointed by this sequel. One of the best things about the series in general is the present-tense narrator-driven point of view and the loaded pace. I practically galloped through this as fast as the first one. Just when you think you know what's going to happen...

If you don't read this after reading The Hunger Games you are doing yourself a complete disservice.

Review: I wasn't sure about it from the reviews....
..... but soon after i started i couldn't stop reading. The book had the same grasping effect that the first had; where you had to read it through all the way to the end and it was agonizing to put it down and not know the ending. Even though I thought I knew how it was going to turn out every surprise captivated me and added more suspense. The books are fairly easy to read, though the themes are more advanced for a younger audience, and the pace keeps the story moving along like the first book so you never get bored. The first book was incredible and, despite the other comment about it being a middle book, I thought it was more serious than the first. More was at stake in this book than just their own lives. This makes everything more risky and all their actions guarded. I like this suspense and what it adds to the story. I also enjoy how Peeta and Katniss's relationship is not so pretending as in the last book, but more genuine (at least from Katniss's side, Peeta was always genuine). But the title is fulfilling, everything really does seem to "catch fire" and we are left on a cliff waiting to see how large the explosion will be. I don't know how she is going to unfold all the things she set up to happen but, I have confidence in her writing for the next book as the last two were exceptional and haven't let me down yet.

Review: I think there was a bloodstain in my book.
A worthy followup to the Hunger Games. I thought the ending to this book would have fit better onto the end of the first one. But I guess I'll save that for the fan fic.
